Mamquam Elementary School Students Learn About Zero Waste

Mrs Carson’s Grade 2/3 class participated in a Zero Waste presentation this week.  Her class was full of energy and had so many stories to tell.  We talked about different items that can be recycled and more importantly how to reduce the amount of garbage we produce.   

They decided that they would like to track their progress in their Zero Waste/Garbage Free Lunch Challenge.  The class discussed the best way to watch their improvement over the months and decided that they would like to graph their progress…..so stay tuned on how they are doing throughout the year.
