The Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-up is already underway; the first clean-up in the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District already happened yesterday around the Squamish Estuary and beaches near the terminal.  But fear not if you did not participate in that clean-up event.  There are many more in our region and if you do not see one listed for your area, you can set one up with your class, school or community.  Check out this website under the Take Action Tab and you can find a clean-up or set one up: http://www.shorelinecleanup.ca/en/search/cleanups

This is the 20th Anniversary of the Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-up, an event that people from all over our country participate in.  Any shoreline counts, such as a lake shore, riverbanks, estuary, ocean, etc...  The event officially runs from Sunday, September 21-29, 2013.  Pitch in and help to clean-up our beautiful Canadian Shorelines!
